We Need Your Help!
The Little Thompson Observatory was built by a large group of local volunteers and it operates entirely because of donations of money, time and talent. Our financial donors make it possible to pay the everyday bills and sometimes not-so-everyday expenses of running the Observatory.
At present, we need your help to complete our expansion project to house the historic 24-inch Mt. Wilson telescope. We have expanded the facility to accommodate this instrument by adding a second telescope foundation, structural pier and second dome. But we still need donations to pay for a new dome and telescope control system and to clean, install and align the optics in this telescope. We want to make this impressive instrument part of the LTO experience in 2011!
We can accept donations in cash, by check or money order, in stock or via PayPal (visit our Donate On-Line Page) or credit card. Contact us if you want to donate via stock, so we can provide the appropriate contact and account information
If you happen to visit us at the Observatory you can also get a token of our appreciation for your donation.

For a $5.00 donation you can get a handsome mug.

$12.00 for a Small, Medium, Large, X-Large or $15.00 for XX-Large T-Shirt.
We also have Bryan White’s Spirit Lake 3-D Aurora Borealis books for $30 and 2009 International Year of Astronomy Gallileoscopes for $30 donations.
