Please allow at least one week to get the appropriate volunteers scheduled for your visit. If you want to visit us in daytime, please give us two weeks prior notice to schedule your visit. If you hover your mouse over a scheduled date, you may see which time slots are taken already.
Groups larger than 50 require special consideration.
In the event of inclement weather (clouds, snow, rain), we have a variety of presentations and movies, and can teach your group about the Constellation Wall. We can also demonstrate the telescope with the dome closed.
Please let us know if you have any difficulties in navigating through our new web site, especially the “schedule your own visit” sections. We are continuously making improvements to this site. To see if a certain day has a group scheduled, note the little clock symbol on the day and to see the time slot that was reserved, hover your mouse over the date and look at the time slot. If this was a morning group, you can still reserve an evening appointment. All days without the clock symbol are not reserved yet.
Note: The High School teaches Astronomy Class on Thursdays from 6pm -10pm at LTO, so you may not be the only group there that evening.
Note: In July we are closed for annual maintenance.
